Avengers Assemble Season 2

Plot

_____________________________________________________________

The Avengers face off against Red Skull's master named Thanos. Red Skull gave the Tesseract to Thanos at the end of season one. Thanos is on the hunt for the Infinity Gems to power his Infinity Gauntlet. While the Avengers are able to defeat Thanos after much hard work, the gems are drained of their power by Ultron who threatens to exterminate the human race after possessing Arsenal's body.

After the Avengers ultimately defeat Ultron, Ant-Man becomes a new member of the team. Around the end of season two, Thanos manages to escape from a galactic prison that was meant to contain him with help from the Black Order. The Black Order consist of Black Dwarf, Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, and Supergiant. Thanos makes one final attempt to defeat the Avengers. With help from the people of Earth, the Avengers are able to defeat Thanos and the Black Order. In the aftermath, Captain America and Iron Man plan to make Earth an "Avengers World" by recruiting other heroes.

There is also a subplot detailing the arrival of the Squadron Supreme, Hyperion's old team, which also consists of Nighthawk, Power Princess, Doctor Spectrum, and Speed Demon. While Hyperion served as the "Hammer" for the Squadron Supreme, Nighthawk served as the "Architect" of the team. Thought to have perished when their old planet blew up, they come to Earth in an attempt to conquer it with Hyperion re-joining their team when he hears of their survival. The Squadron Supreme has plans to become the superheroes of Earth and save the world their way. Their plan is put into motion, where they do different plots in their battle with the Avengers. This leads up to the restoration of the Squadron Supreme's sixth member named Nuke. After going into hiding, the Avengers manage to defeat the Squadron Supreme by waiting until the Squadron Supreme's members divide rule of the planet's continents. The Avengers pull a surprise attack and trap each member of the Squadron Supreme one by one. Nighthawk is desperate to win. He tries blowing up the planet by having Hyperion absorb Nuke's powers and destroy the planet's core. Nighthawk tries to flee to find another planet. Iron Man defeats Nighthawk. The rest of the Avengers stop Hyperion from blowing up the Earth. The Squadron Supreme is imprisoned in a special section of the Vault.

The Avengers battle various unmanned robotic drones who appear to be attacking earth. One Drone is revealed to be piloted by the Red Skull who was trying to escape the mad titan Thanos. Tony plans to use a project called arsenal to defeat Thanos. They track the signal to a abandoned Russian city of Poteryani Les. They find Arsenal a robot developed by Howard Stark, with the purpose to store enormous amounts of energy. However, to the amount of time building Arsenal took from Howard, time to spend with his son Tony, made him feel sorry, and made Arsenal's main programming to be being Tony's friend.
The robot spent decades in Poteryani Les, a now-abandoned Russian city, containing leaked gamma radiation.

The Avengers arrived to the city in hopes to find Arsenal, as it could be theoretically powerful enough to contain the newly-found Infinity Stone. Thanos' droids followed the Avengers to the city, and engaged them in combat. The Hulk managed to reactivate Arsenal, who soon obeyed Tony's command to help fight the enemy forces. After the droids were destroyed, Iron Man examined Arsenal in the Avengers Tower
When the Grim Reaper attacked a military base to activate a missile towards the Avengers Tower, Iron Man and Arsenal tried to stop him. The Reaper hit Tony with an electro magnetic pulse, which forced Arsenal to leave the battle and focus on protecting Tony. Once the missile was activated, Tony ordered Arsenal to intercept the missile and absorb its energy to prevent the destruction of Manhattan. Following this event, Tony made Arsenal a full-fledged Avenger.

When the Avengers were lured to the Blue Area of the Moon by Thanos, the team brought Arsenal, to use his ability to project the power of the Infinity Stone as a last resort if they couldn't defeat the Mad Titan. Thanos proved to be a challenge for the Avengers. When Tony was thrown to the Watcher's Citadel, he noticed the Watcher could've had some equipment to help Arsenal focus the beam from the Infinity Stone, as it was rather unstable.
Using lenses and other scrap from the Watcher's weapons, Tony built a focuser which made the beam from the Infinity Stone efficient enough to hurt Thanos. However, Thanos possessed the Infinity Gauntlet, an object made to contain the Infinity Stone, and also draw it to him from Arsenal.

After recovering the Stone, Thanos set out to destroy the Earth in revenge for the opposition the Avengers showed him. Arsenal recommended to use the absorbed blast from the nuclear missile to defeat Thanos, and Tony, who was in the beginning sceptical because the release would destroy Arsenal, agreed.
While the Avengers distracted Thanos, Arsenal synchronized its frequency with that of the energy of the Infinity Stone, to be able to destroy it. Arsenal then released the nuclear blast to Thanos from behind, and destroyed the Infinity Stone, while the Mad Titan was blasted "half way across the universe." Arsenal's last words were "Goodbye, Tony." Arsenal's head survived the explosion, and was found by the Watcher once it fell on the Moon. It was given to Tony, who put it in his workshop, with the aim to rebuild his robot companion.
Hulk and Thor are tricked into a battle and transported to Valhalla to find out who is the strongest, once and for all. But under Hela's rule, only the loser of their contest may return to Earth while the winner will become her consort and champion.

Red Skull has information that could help the Avengers save the world from Thanos, but an intruder kidnaps Skull before they can retrieve it. Cap discovers that the trespasser is none other than his old partner Bucky Barnes, now the Winter Soldier, who's back and seeks revenge.
When Hawkeye and Black Widow stumble upon the Serpent Crown, they must work together with the Atlanteans led by Attuma's former adviser Lady Zartra to stop Attuma's battalion from destroying Atlantis and controlling the Atlantean beast Giganto.
When a mysterious new villain named Nighthawk uses the individualized counter measures Falcon created when he was at S.H.I.E.L.D. to take out the Avengers one by one, he must figure out a way to save his team.

When the Time Stone becomes attached to Tony's arc reactor, it causes him to de-age and brings dangers from other eras, including dinosaurs, into present-day New York City.
After stopping A.I.M. from launching a missile, Iron Man thinks that the Avengers are almost perfect. When M.O.D.O.K. uses the Mind Infinity Gem to take control of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Avengers must work in each other's bodies when their minds are switched in order to defeat M.O.D.O.K. and claim the Mind Infinity Gem.

the Avengers face off against Red Skull's master Thanos (who Red Skull gave the Tesseract to at the end of Season One) who is on the hunt for the Infinity Gems to power his Infinity Gauntlet. While the Avengers are able to defeat Thanos after much hard work, the gems are drained of their power by Ultron who threatens to exterminate the human race after possessing Arsenal's body. After the Avengers ultimately defeated Ultron, Ant-Man becomes a new member of the team. There is also a subplot detailing the arrival of the Squadron Supreme, Hyperion's old team from the same planet he's from which also consists of Nighthawk, Power Princess, Doctor Spectrum, and Speed Demon. While Hyperion served as the "Hammer" for the Squadron Supreme, Nighthawk served as the "Architect" of the team.

Thought to have perished when their old planet blew up, they survived and came to Earth in an attempt to conquer it with Hyperion re-joining their ranks when he hears of their survival. The Squadron Supreme has plans to become the superheroes of Earth and save the world their way. After Ultron's plans are foiled, they attack the Avengers with full force.
In a flipped reality, where superheroes are supervillains and vise versa, Iron Man gets a strange vision after battling the Squadron Supreme. He and the "evil" versions of the other Avengers discover that the Squadron Supreme have the Reality Infinity Gem, and have used it to change the world in their image. Can the Avengers regain their lost sense of justice and fix reality?

When Thor is tricked into returning to Asgard, he and the Avengers discover they must defeat Loki and prevent Earth and Asgard from crashing into one another.
After the Avengers stop the Wrecking Crew from using weaponry from an abandoned A.I.M. warehouse, Falcon shows Hawkeye his upgraded weaponry for the group where an Asgard rune transports them to Vanaheim. Once there, a Shadow Nyx drained the electricity from it and they are saved by Frey. Falcon must prove to himself and a skeptical Hawkeye that he's still a hero when preventing the Shadow Nyxe from overtaking Vanaheim and restarting the great light that kept them at bay. As a result of Hawkeye and Falcon being transported to Vanaheim, two Shadow Nyx have appeared in Manhattan and the rest of the Avengers must keep them from draining Earth's energies.
