Spider-Man officially joins the Avengers, but after
a fight with Loki, Doctor Octopus and a group of Norse creatures bonded
with the Venom symbiote, he chooses to resign and remain with S.H.I.E.L.D.
After this, the symbiote permanently bonds with Flash Thompson to
become Agent Venom and Spider-Man is tasked by Nick Fury to recruit other young
heroes to form the New Warriors. At the same time, Green Goblin hiresTaskmaster to
find the young heroes before Spider-Man does and form the Thunderbolts.
Spider-Man manages to recruit Ka-Zar and his pet smilodon Zabu from
the Savage Land, and Amadeus Cho in the Iron Spiderarmor,
while Taskmaster recruits Cloak and Dagger and Vulture.
When the
Thunderbolts attempt to bust out Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Beetle and Scorpion,
Spider-Man leads the New Warriors against the group, and is able to convince
Cloak and Dagger to switch sides. The New Warriors ultimately defeat the
villains, but Green Goblin gets away with the Siege Perilous, leading to a
variation of the Spider-Verse storyline
in which he travels across the multiverse to collect DNA samples of
Spider-Man's alternate counterparts to turn himself into the Spider-Goblin.
Chasing after him, Spider-Man meets up with Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Girl, Spider-Man
Noir, Spider-Ham, Spyder-Knight and Miles Morales, helping them each
one by one with their problems, before teaming up with all of them to take down
Spider-Goblin and a giant Helicarrier robot controlled by Electro.
After both
are defeated and the alternate Spider-Men return to their homes, Goblin reverts
into Norman Osborn and ends up suffering amnesia, making him forget his time as
the Goblin.[8] Afterwards,
Spider-Man and his team begin their education at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy
located at the Triskelion while dealing with the reawakened Arnim
Zola. Not long afterwards, Spider-Man gets involved in a contest between the Collector and
theGrandmaster for the fate of Earth. During this time, Aunt May,
Agent Venom, and Iron Spider learn of Spider-Man's identity.
Spider-Man hunts throughout New York for the last remnants of Venom. He finds a piece of one hang off one of J. Jonah
Jameson screens. As he extracts the piece he is attacked by the Scorpion who is possessed by another piece of Venom. While fighting the Venomized
Scorpion, Flash Thompson appeared, wearing a Scarlet Spider costume and calling himself Scarlet
Spider. Spider-Man told Flash not to be a hero and defeated Scorpion, unaware
that a small piece of Venom attached to Flash. The next day, the Beetle, under orders from Taskmaster, tracked Venom to Midtown High
School and chases Flash. Spider-Man stashes Flash into a locker to
protect him, but Flash wanted to help.
The suit activated, and Flash battles
the Beetle. When Flash has him subdued, Spider-Man tries to talk Flash into
giving up the suit, and the two fight until Taskmaster arrived. Venom and
Spider-Man battled the Beetle and Taskmaster, Flash integrated parts of
Beetle's suit, including rocket launchers and armor, and fully becoming Agent
Venom. After the fight, Agent Venom relents that being a hero is harder than he
thought and tries to get the suit to leave him. However, the suit has found a
perfect host in Flash and permanently bonded to him. Spider-man convinces Fury to take him on as a member of the team. As he reveals his actions has encouraged other
young heroes to come out of the wood work.
Spidey wants to recruit Cloak and Dagger for his S.H.I.E.L.D.
team. Science genius Amadeus Cho proves perfect to operate Spidey's Iron Spider Armor, The only trouble is he's Peter Parker's class
rival. Can they work together? A mysterious thief known
as the Vulture has been causing trouble. Spider-Man decides to track him down. Adrian was a teenager who, for unidentified
reasons, was living on the streets. Along with other runaways, he was kidnapped
byDoctor Octopus to use as test subject in his transhuman experiments. Adrian’s DNA was
merged with that of a vulture, and his memories were erased. After several
months in suspended animation, Adrian woke.
Desperate to regain his lost past,
the boy followed his only clue: a plaque containing Oscorp’s logo. His bouts of anxiety would cause a more
animalistic side to surface, during which he would scavenge New York. Vulture’s assaults on Manhattan eventually caught the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., who sent Spider-Man to hunt him down. Upon
finding Vulture’s hideaway, Spider-Man recognized Doc Ock’s technology and
reasoned that Vulture must be one of the mad scientist’s victims.
The teen hero
agreed to help Vulture recover his memories by meeting with the imprisoned
Doctor Octopus. Unfortunately, the villain revealed that Vulture’s memories
were erased to implant a trigger phrase: “Carrion Bird.” Vulture went berserk
and destroyed Doctor Octopus’ cell. Spider-Man followed them and was attacked
by both. He reminded him who was his enemy by asking him who did this to him
making him attack Doc Ock. When he learned his creator’s files about him had
been downloaded, Vulture almost killed Doc Ock, but Spider-Man interfered.
He
asked him why he would defend a monster like Octopus, he responded that because
he was the good guy, succeeded in calming Vulture down and offered him a place
a S.H.I.E.L.D. Vulture refused, wanting to find his own path, but soon crossed
paths with Taskmaster, who sought to recruit various super-powered
teenagers and had downloaded Ock's files about him. He called the teen by his
name, Adrian, and promised answers Spider-Man travels to the Savage Land with Wolverine to find Ka-Zar. Things become more complicated as a result of a
plan hatched by Taskmaster and Kraven the
Hunter.
Spidey realizes that he inspired a whole new generation of aspiring heroes and
wants to encourage them to haveSHIELD training and form a new team, the New Warriors. Goblin uses Electro to power up the Siege Perilous to collect the DNA of other Spider-Men. Spider-Man follows Goblin and boosts the confidence of Spider-Man
2099 and helps Spider-Girl to defeat Norma Osborn.
Spider-Man continues following Green Goblin across the Multiverse to stop him from collecting Spider-Men DNA. He helps Spider-Man
Noir to renew his friendship with Mary Jane and helps Peter Porker regain his will to become Spider-Ham. Spider-Man helps Spider-Knight take down the medieval Dr. Octopus and save York, then helps Miles Morales forgive himself for what happened to Peter Parker in his universe. Spider-Man finally ends up in his own universe, he finds Green Goblin has injected himself with the Spider-Men DNA from all the universes to
become the Spider-Goblin.
With Electro's help from the Siege Perilous he summons all the Spider-Men dubbed Web-Warriors and defeats the Spider-Goblin, but Electro turns on them and uses the Helicarrier to self-destruct and take out New York but is stopped with the help of Spider-Ham and Spider-Girl.The Guardians of
the Galaxy land on Earth to repair their ship at the time when Titus was leading the Chitauri into claiming Nova's helmet. After the Guardians of the Galaxy's ship
is repaired, they helped Nova and Spider-Man fight Titus and the Chitauri. After Titus was defeated, even if the S.H.I.E.L.D. arrives, the Guardians of the Galaxy leaves with Titus in their custody
while the remaining Chitauri escapes.
Morgan le Fay is accidentally freed from her armor imprisonment by Jessie
Prescott during the Ross family visit to theAmerican
Museum of Natural History as she planned to claim the sword and cause the end of the
world. Spider-Mancomes to their aid as Morgan brings the exhibits
to life while placing a pumpkin on a security guard turning him into Jack O'Lantern. After the battle with the exhibits, Morgan made
another attempt at the sword where she transformed Mrs. Kipling into a dragon. Morgan then attacked Jessie as she used the sword to
combat Morgan. After blasting the sword out of Jessie's hand, Morgan grabbd the
sword in order to blot out the sun and become the true heir of Camelot. AfterRavi regained control of Mrs. Kipling, Jessie placed the sword back onto the
armor as Morgan le Fay is re-imprisoned.
Spider-Man's education at the Academy begins, but it might
be cut seriously short when a long-dormant villain wakes from hibernation and
sets out to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D.. Spidey and Hulk are the last line of defense when a bitter between Agent Venom and Rhino threatens to destroy New York City. After stopping some crooks and still
getting called a menace, Spider-Man considers a life where he's no longer a webslinger. Even though he can
see his future as a rich and
powerful scientist, he's also shown that Green Goblin has grown more powerful than ever!
Nick Fury is controlled by Doctor Octopus nanobots. Now it's up to Spider-Man and Ant-Man to get Nick Fury back by going inside his body. Craving Mexican
food Spider-Man, Power Man and Squirrel Girl sneak out after hours for late-night burritos. Along the way they must
contend with some of Spidey's enemies. Spider-Man is the only one prepared to support Triton of the Inhumans as he returns to his home city to stop his people attacking and save New York from a war between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Inhumans.
